Adventures in Space

-Learn about flying, both in and out of the Earth's atmosphere.
-Find out what t is like to live and work in space. You will also design your own Space Station, Moon Base, or Mars Base.
-See how rockets work from the ground up by building and launching your own model rocket. 
-There will also be a video presentation and awards during the five day program.

Day One: Rocket Building
Learn and understand how rockets work and fly. Students will each get to build their own rockets that will fly as high as 1,000 feet! Launch will take place on day 5.

Day Two: Our Universe & Science for fun
Explore our Solar System and beyond! Students will design and create alien life forms. Students will also make wheels for star gazing.
Using a variety of simple toys, discover the workings of forces such as gravity and friction. See the effects on Earth and how they differed for the crews aboard the Space Shuttle.

Day Three: Living and Working in Space
Find out what its like for the astronauts to live and work in Space. Detailed models, a moon suit along with space food and hands-on activities will be presented. Each student will have their individual Astronaut Portrait taken in a shuttle flight suit.

Day Four: Space Station
We will take a look into the history of Space and development of the International Space Station, currently in Earth's orbit. The students will also design of their own to present to their group.

Day Five: Principles of Flight & Rocket Launch 
Using materials such as gliders, balloons, and water rockets, the students will explore and learn the principles of flight. 
Family and friends are invited to witness the launching of the model rockets made fro Day1.
